gott haus policies + faq

  • A non-refundable deposit is due in order to confirm your reservation. No date can be confirmed until both the signed contract and initial deposit are received by Gott Haus.

  • The final payment, of the remaining balance, is due 10 days prior to the event date. All payments made after this date will incur a 5% late fee.

  • Although we love your little ones, this is an adult only affair. We have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event.

  • If either party, the Client or Gott Haus, are unable to hold the Event due to a cause reasonably not within control including: acts of God, terrorist attacks, war, civil disturbances, accidents, damage to facility, labor disputes, acts of a government body, relevant state-recognized public health emergency; the Client will be provided the option to reschedule the Event within 60 days of the scheduled Event date or to receive a refund if the Event cannot reasonably be rescheduled. If Gott Haus deems the Event unsafe due to unexpected risk related to fire, plumbing, localized natural disaster, or COVID-19; Gott Haus will work with Client to reschedule the Event within 90 days of the scheduled date. If a reasonable accommodation cannot be made, Gott Haus will issue a refund.

  • Gott Haus’ team will take care of the Client and all Guests with high-touch service and professionalism. The Client takes responsibility that all Guests will treat staff and the space with respect. The Client will be asked to remove a Guest who becomes abusive to a member of staff, the space, or otherwise disturbing the peace inside or outside the venue. The Client also takes responsibility for any outside vendors or entertainers that have been booked independently of Gott Haus and will ensure they have cordial conduct with the Gott Haus staff. Gott Haus reserves the right to inspect and control all Events and may ask any Guest to leave the premises if inappropriate behavior is exhibited.

    Smoking is not permitted indoors, and only permitted in designated areas outdoors.

    Firearms and weapons will not be permitted on the premises. Narcotics and drugs will not be permitted on the premises. Unsafe and suspicious behavior on site or in the nearby area will not be permitted. Client provided electronic equipment will be inspected by Gott Haus staff before powering, and Gott Haus reserves the right to refuse to power items with frayed or exposed wiring or due to incompatible power capabilities.

  • Gott Haus will not have designated space to store items for long periods on behalf of the Client ahead of the Event. Gott Haus staff will not be responsible for setting up or moving any Client-provided equipment or decorations, nor any damages or loss incurred to Client property on site. Items and equipment must be taken with the Client at the conclusion of the Event.

  • All alcohol beverages must be served by a licensed bartender(s) which will be hired by the Client directly. Service staff may request proof of age from a Guest, and the Client recognizes that it is unlawful to serve alcohol to a person under 21 years of age. The Client will be responsible for controlling minor consumption.

  • Due to the neighborhood surrounding Gott Haus and proximity to neighbors, excessive noise is not permitted after 10pm. All Events will conclude promptly at 11pm. Amplified music is not permitted outside, glass doors must be shut while a band or DJ plays inside, and amplified or live music must conclude by 10pm. Background music can be played indoors during the final hour.

  • Any vendors or entertainers selected by the Client must be approved by Gott Haus. Vendors should be licensed and provide their Certificate of Insurance prior to the event.

  • Gott Haus assumes no responsibility for damages or loss of merchandise, alcohol, equipment, furniture, clothing or other valuables prior to, during or after the event. The Client understands that by using/providing items he/she/it owns, accidents/breakage and damage may occur. The Client will NOT bill, charge or sue Gott Haus for any of these damages or losses. The Client is responsible for damage or theft of property during the Event. The Client will comply with the laws of the United States, the State of Maryland, Howard County, including all lawful orders of police and fire departments, and will not do anything on the premises in violation of any laws, ordinances, rules, or orders.

    Except for its own negligence or other wrongful behavior, Gott Haus is not responsible for any loss or damage to equipment, decorations, merchandise, clothing, or personal items. Except for its own negligence or other wrongful behavior by Gott Haus, Client waives any right to claim damages or loss against Gott Haus regarding any act performed or connected to the Event.

  • Except to the extent covered by Gott Haus insurance, Client agrees to hold Gott Haus harmless against all claims for injury or damage to persons or property arising out of any act, omission, negligence, or misconduct on the part of the Client or any of its agents, guests, clients or invitees.

  • Gott Haus strongly recommends that the Client holds Liability insurance for the scheduled Event, and requires proof of Client Liability coverage 30 days prior to the Event date. An individual may seek a stand-alone policy or an extension of Personal Liability from an existing homeowners policy. Businesses may seek coverage through an existing Commercial General Liability policy.
